Germany is one of the three biggest music markets in the world - but it's definetly underrepresented in the playlist! as the above mentioned lists I miss some like "Deutschpunk" or of some german artists like "Die Toten Hosen", "Rammstein",...

I agree-it is getting ridiculous with all the varieties of Country and 80's playlists that are coming out.  Seriously-"Country Driving Songs" and "80's Rock Ballads"...when does it end? Each week after being dissapointed with the lame new USA playlist I then anxiously check the German section and am dissapointed each time.  There needs to be a Krautrock category with bands like:

    Krautrock:

    KMFDM

    Die Krupps

    Girls Under Glass

    Hanzel Und Gretyl

    Zeromancer

    Janus

    Megaherz

    Oomph!

    Slick Idiot

    Kraftwerk

    Wumpscut:

    Neu

    Rammstein

    Einstürzende Neubauten

    Project Pitchfork

    Bigod 20

    Haujobb

    MDFMK

What we DON'T need is "80's Soft Rock", "Country Summers 90-95", "80's Country Driving Love Songs", and "80's Country movie songs" (now of course now that I said it those lists will come out next week)

I agree absolutely with you all. It seems "SongPop" (Zendesk) doesn't LIKE Germany in a kind of way. :-/ Look on Playlists from Poland, Sweden, Turkey and so on. You will find there everywhere massive local singers/groups in their languages. But for Germany you will find nothing "special". There are SO MANY possible playlists for germany! "Neue Deutsche Welle", "Deutsche Hits", "Schlager" and other ones, what was named here already. For what you are waiting for "SongPop"??? If you need some "workers" who have a very good musicknowledge, specialy for germany and could help to make such lists, then just say it you want some, and you will find fast some!

Uh, that list of bands wasn't krautrock. They were all industrial-rock & ebm things.
