while we are grateful for putting brit pop into your game, id like to know why you have all album tracks by each band, bands choose singles cos they believe them to be there best work, this game is a great opportunity for Americans and the world alike to understand there talents if you put in there best work and not some album fillers, its part of the fun to hear great tunes in the game, not songs i didn't buy album for, rant over just a little research wouldn't hurt....

I'd also like to ask why you're referring to Suede as 'The London Suede'?

  • Daren Allder

'The London Suede' is what Suede had to be marketed as in the US, because of a name clash with a US artist. (See http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/the-london-suede, for example)

I agree with Steve, you cocked this right up. Why are the obscure Britpop bands picked first? Surely it should be the most famous ones such as Oasis, Blur, Pulp and Suede first to give people a foot in the game? I'm getting tired of not getting Ash, Marion, Echobelly and Gene songs right!

Done, but it's pretty bad.  All the Cast songs are B-sides from the deluxe edition of the first album, the OCS ones are lesser known songs from the first album and Moseley Shoals only.  Plus, the Pulp ones are all His N Hers lesser knowns.  Where's Lightning Seeds?  The Charlatans?  McAlmont & Butler?  Early Stereophonics?  (when they were good), Early Coldplay?

And WHO are the London Suede????  They're only called that in the US!!  (who never even made it that big!!!)

Since when are Coldplay Britpop? They're butt rock at best.

As for the London Suede thing, yes, change it to the correct name of Suede. I don't care what some Las Vegas act says, The London Suede is a stupid name anyway.

    And where's the well-known songs?

Coldplay started out as  Brit Pop, they were at the tail end of it and nod to Radiohead and XTC as major influences.  I agree, now they are bland as potatoes without condiments

THE WRONG ME ME ME IS ON THERE THOUGH.  CURRENTLY IT'S A DAFT AUSTRALIAN PARODY POP PUNK BAND FROM 2010!!! THAT'S NOT BRIT POP!!

Where are Radiohead??  The Bends and OK Computer were released and were definitely part of the whole Brit Pop scene...

Ocean Color Scene post-Moseley Shoals would be nice to hear...

More Blur (why have they got a little "b"????)

    Stereophonics?

And The Charlatans (around at the very start BEFORE Suede and Denim) , known forever as The Charlatans NOT The Charlatans UK too...

And more Cast, less of the B-sides/demo's would be nice!!!!!!

This is awful and takes the piss quite frankly.  There are loads of Oasis, Blur, Radiohead and Pulp songs on other games like the new "alternative 80s-90s" and "male singers" (the latter, most of which are groups with male vocals only, PATHETIC!) rounds that should be in Britpop (and even Indie).  Yet, 60s Folk, Classic Folk Rock and Psych Rock are pretty much identical with the same songs and artists!!!

    SORT IT OUT!!!!

well, me me me have been taken off but it's still a poor playlist.  so many missing and since when were the auteurs and dawn of the replkicants such key players??  they were britpop but how frequebntly they pop up it's like they invented it!!  Where are Suede?????????   Why hardly any Oasis, why no Blur (they are present in other categories) and why obscure Cast B-sides and first OCS album (non-Britpop!!)

Ash and Marion are the ones that pop up most for me. Suede is there but they've used the dumbarse American name 'The London Suede' I do agree there's not enough Oasis and Blur, also very little Pulp, and Seahorses, no Stone Roses, Ian Brown, Happy Mondays, and a lot of B-sides and album songs.

It's like they purposely made this crap to spite us.

Oh yeah, Marion (really????) and Ash from their Trailer mini-album and occasional 1997 lesser known's.  Happy Mondays and most Roses were PRE britpop (93-98); though they should be included in a UK indie playlist.  In fact, there's a suggestion!!
