Definitely agree...too much of the same old teeny-bopper pop, and (c)rap. WE NEED NEWER ROCK MUSIC!

it exists, but its sorta too much 80's/90's

That's the point...we don't need any more 80's and 90's in a hundred different song packs. They need to keep up on the current rock, like they do with other genres. Rock does still exist, people!!!

This has been requested by many since 2012 and STILL no new rock playlists. I think it's because they don't know it exists! They are stuck in the 80's and 90's... They don't realize there's a whole new world of rock beyond the year 2000!!! They've got 2013/14 soft pop, country, hip hop, rap.... But no freakin' 2013/14 rock! Come on people! Get with the program!!!

Thanks for the modern rock genre! But you must have a different definition of modern than most.... The word "modern" means "Of or relating to recent times or the present"..... Your "modern rock" genre features songs from the 90's!!! Wtf???

Agreed. I listen to Octane on Xm Radio, and my ideal pack would be ANYTHING that they have on their playlist! They play the best new hard rock out there!
  • DONNA LINDSAY
Omg!!! Yes!!! If they would only listen!!!! The rock that you DONT hear on the radio!!!

Every "new" pack that they introduce every week is always variations of packs already available. We want NEW hard rock! I would say newer, but apparently the makers confuse that for '80's and '90's. We want 2010-present!!! Here are some of the bands that we are desperately missing:

Halestorm, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, In This Moment, The Pretty Reckless, Pop Evil, Aranda, Black Stone Cherry, Otherwise, Theory of a Deadman, and (newer) Avenged Sevenfold, to name a few.

If a NEW hard rock playlist came out, it might rejuvenate my desire to play SongPop...
